Region IE Specialist

Function
The IE Specialist will be responsible for developing reporting on the main KPIs for the Europe Region and providing valuable insights on monthly results and identify trends, supporting the decision making of senior management at the UPS Europe headquarters. He / She coordinates the Industrial Engineering (IE) reporting and analyzes a process to provide data for operational decision-making across Europe.
Tasks & Responsibilities

• Obtain data from Oracle, ODBC, websites, Sharepoint, SQL server and other data sources to populate reports
• Convert information into a useable format for operational decision-making
• Develop reports to support improvement of performance and results.
• Develop reporting based on given requirements, interactions with the users and collaborative input from peers and subject matter experts
• Address and resolve issues impacting information systems reporting; look for ways to minimize report generation and required storage; modify existing report formats; create and interpret customized reports; integrate data, information, and documents from multiple software programs; write more complex report queries.
• Educate and advise internal clients on how to leverage available data, reports and tools
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis to provide valuable insights and execute data mining requests

Profile

• Demonstrates basic knowledge of database design principles; identifies users’ requirements and needs with guidance from others; demonstrates a basic understanding of the importance of maintaining and updating databases.
• Strong affinity for and experienced in MS Excel, MS Access, literate or highly motivated to learn VBA macros
• Small Package Operations Knowledge: apply knowledge of small package processes, procedures and methods to ensure safety, quality and performance within the operations. Use knowledge of tools, equipment and technology to properly and safely sort and load packages.
• Knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous
• Detail orientation: plan and complete work with thoroughness, giving attention to specific information, and individual details, conditions,
• Fluent English is essential, additional languages are an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering of business preferred
